I thought my pilgrimage to Assisi would be aimed toward solitude, silence, and stillness. But I was surprised to find that the healing and peace I found came through people and conversations

Maybe Francis had the better way to follow—to do as God desires, with course corrections along the way, rather than sitting and fretting over what God really means.

We are living Canticles of God. St. Francis understood that better than anyone.

Today we pray to take seriously our call to discipleship, letting Jesus’ example influence every decision we make.

It can be easy to forget that God can be like a playful child, smiling and inviting us to join in a recess of divine proportions.

When we think we don’t have enough time, talent, or treasure, God reminds us that we have everything we need when we place our lives in God’s hands.
