In the cacophony of the world’s troubles, it can be difficult to find quiet. Consider how useful it is to the world to quiet yourself with prayer.

Daniel Comboni’s first missionary trip to Africa ended in failure. He returned home to Italy and came up with the idea to directly involve African Christians in evangelizing their sisters and brothers. This inclusive effort bore much fruit.

In prayer we often come face-to-face with our own mysterious reality. But in prayer, may we be comforted that we are bringing to God more than just our words; we are bringing to God our hearts.

When you feel lost pause awhile, pray for guidance, and take time to let the answers come. Let your actions be informed by God’s still small voice and your deepest evaluation of the situation.

Sometimes the flame of our love for God grows dim. It's then that we must return to the small ways God woos us in everyday life.
