Every day many, of us spend hours on our phones, computers, or other electronic devices. Many of the advances it has brought can be life-changing. But all of this technology can also have a dark side.
All workers–from the top executive to the farm workers to the mom caring for her children—bring their hearts and souls into their work. And for that we give thanks.
On July 4, President Donald J. Trump triumphantly signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act into law shortly after it was passed by Congress, following a long and contentious journey in the House and Senate.
Name-calling. Bullying. Prejudice. Hurtful comments. Gossip. Given that this is a family column, you might assume that I’m talking about the behavior of kids.
At the heart of each family is love. We must continue to uncover that love for each other every day.
These days, compassion seems to be in short supply. In truth, now is when we need it the most.
It happens every time there is a major life event. Sometimes it’s a national tragedy, such as a school shooting. It could be an illness or a devastating diagnosis. But whatever it is, as soon as we’re aware of it, we immediately begin to offer “thoughts and prayers” to all those involved.
