Sharing the Word

What will it be like when God’s plans are brought to fulfillment? The prophet Isaiah tells us that it will be like a great and glorious banquet.

We all relish memories of wonderful times in our lives. There may have been difficult times in your life as well, but hopefully what followed was realizing God never stops loving us.

If we want to be followers of Jesus we are to confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead.

With our daily routines it’s easy to forget that the kingdom of God is always near. It’s easy to lose track of the presence of the Lord.

As the end times approach there will be persecution for Jesus’ followers. Destruction will be everywhere. And this will be merely a prelude to the ultimate, final upheaval of all creation.

Today’s Gospel reading reassures us that nothing is more powerful than God’s love and care for us. Nothing can frustrate God's plans for his world.
