Pause+Pray

Yesterday, we mourned Christ's death. Tomorrow, we will celebrate his Resurrection. Today, we pause somewhere in between.

Christ knew what it was like to suffer. Christ knew the gaping pain of yearning for an embrace when those around you cause you pain.

Christ taught us how to break bread. Christ taught us how to build tables that welcome all to participate in that breaking of bread.

When you think of hard and lonely places, what comes to mind? Is it an actual desert? Or is it your workplace? Or a family gathering? Where is your desert?

In the spirit of seeing every encounter as a blessing, let me bring beauty and healing to all my relationships.

Delivery specialists, sanitation workers, bakers, electricians, nurses, cooks, and carpenters: How often do we thank people we cannot always see but who keep our lives humming?
