King David’s Poetic Prayers

Reflect

King David is considered to be the writer of many of the psalms. David had many ups and downs in his life. He did great things, he was a sinner, he strove, he stumbled. Whether thriving or in the midst of a miry mess, David turned to God with his psalms: for joy, for trust, for deliverance, for remorse, for hope, for thanksgiving. He leaned heavily on God for so many situations.

Pray

King David, pray for me!
Pray that I might turn to the Lord
in all the circumstances of my life,
whether joyful or sorrowful.
Pray that I will feel God in all situations.

Act

Select a psalm from your Bible. Read it with heart and let the words help you to feel God’s presence.
