Jesus comes to us from the Father and teaches us about the Father’s will to give us eternal life. If we reject the Son we do not receive life, but the wrath of the Father.

God the Father loves the whole of creation and wants all creation to share in eternal life. That’s why he sent his Son into the world. We are each given a choice to live in the light of Jesus or in the darkness.

Our salvation depends on our acceptance of what Jesus teaches–of what he promises us–because he alone speaks of heaven with the voice of experience.

The evangelist’s calling in the Church is to announce the works and favors of the Lord–to proclaim the wonders of God in the assembly of God’s holy ones.

Once Jesus had healed the disciples of their unbelief and hardness of heart, he entrusted to them the responsibility of proclaiming the gospel to the whole world.
