Sharing the Word

Through his suffering Jesus united humanity to himself, bringing us all into a single brotherhood in the Lord.

Ordinary Time walks us through the public life of Jesus in the Gospel readings and gives us samples of other parts of Scripture in the First Readings.

We should take confidence in the awareness that God protects us from evil, that we belong to God, and that God has given us the discernment to know Jesus Christ.

The conviction that Jesus--true God and true man--is our savior is based on our faith in what has been revealed to us.

Our love for God is generated by God’s prior love for us. This love necessarily involves our love for neighbor.

This likeness to God that his love for us and ours for him confers on us gives us confidence in the day of judgment.
