If you think about it, one word might summarize how you could describe a mother’s love. That word would be “nurturer.”

In this week’s Gospel, Jesus implores his followers to love one another in the same way that he loves them.

In prayer we relate to God with the intimate friendship described by Jesus. We come to prayer with all the confidence that good friends bring to a relationship.

Was the community of Jesus merely an offshoot of Judaism or something that had a nature and life of its own? Some Pharisee believers insisted that you had to be a Jew to be a follower of Jesus.

Whether we recite the Hail Mary by itself or repeatedly in the rosary, it reminds us of the respect we show the woman chosen by God to give birth to his son. Ave Maria!

Life is a journey we cannot predict or control. Sometimes there will be valleys and other times mountain highs. But how do you know where God is calling you?

The world is in need of positivity and grace. As a mother, let it begin with me.
