Return to Me

Reflect

God asks us to return to him with our whole heart, whole mind, and whole soul. He asks us to return to him with fasting, mourning, and weeping (Joel 2:12). It is in the challenges that God is most present. For the seed must get through the rainstorm to grow and to bloom.

Pray

God, give me the eyes to see you and the ears to hear your voice.
Open my heart to feel the digging and the planting of the seed.
Open my ears to hear that the pitter patter of the rain is nourishing.
Help me to grow in you so that I may bloom in your goodness.
I return to you, great gardener.
Make my dry dirt into bountiful gardens.
Amen.
