Pause + Pray

Parented by the Almighty

Still water in a canyon depiction parenting by God

Reflect

We often go to God in prayer, but do we ever allow God to pray over us? May this prayer inspire your Christian imagination to experience the intimate grace that perpetually washes over us every day. May it baptize you with the truth of God’s love.

Pray

I know sometimes you slip into lies you’ve long believed.
I know sometimes old ways return,
forgetting love you have received.
I know sometimes you have better days.
I know sometimes you lose touch with grace.
But did you know I love you still,
that you’re mine and mine alone?
Did you know I will not leave you,
my beloved child, my home?

Act

In the morning, afternoon, and evening today, enter into stillness and be reminded that God dwells within you—in the deepest levels of your being—and animates you through the mystery of the Holy Spirit. Come home to this truth and allow God to pray over you.

Pray for me to be able to take care of my mother and my son. I have never had a permanent job neither have I ever been married, so it’s quite a challenge for me.

      Many thanks.

    2. Prayers for the home to close ASAP. I know/deal with this as a 20+ yrs Mortgage Professional everyday. Feel free to reach out for anything.

  2. I love reading Pause + Pray but
I’m sorry to say I find the new format of this and Minute Meditations cumbersome. Carving out time is tricky enough and adding more steps compounds this. Sorry I hate to complain because I really do love both publications.

  3. Please pray that my son will find a job. We have been supporting his family since 2020, when he lost his job due to the covid shutdown.

  4. I am in constant pain in a country where these things are not being addressed as the health system is in chaos!
I am asking the Lord for relief from this pain so that I can continue to contribute to life here
    Thank you

  5. Please pray that one of my grandsons with a mild autism condition will find a job and begin to learn how to live on his own, which could do if he applied himself and that he would return to the Catholic faith which he has dropped since graduation from high school.
