Pause+Pray

Too often in this “connected” world, many of us feel isolated, disconnected, alone.

There is a quote attributed to St. Bonaventure that is worth pondering, again and again: “God is a circle whose center is everywhere, and whose circumference is nowhere.”

St. Francis showed deep empathy and love for all people, particularly the marginalized and suffering.

Whether or not we realize it, everyone we know is struggling with some type of burden in his or her life. It takes courage to face down those challenges.

When we are wronged, offering forgiveness is not often our natural response. Yet God asks us to forgive--not for empty piety, but to help our souls heal.

We must remember that God’s peace and strength for our journey are always in, and only in, the Eternal Now of your present life.
