Have you ever been surrounded by a whirlwind of activity, perhaps in the midst of family and friends, and felt a sudden whoosh of deep contentment?

Our wounded human nature being what it is, the temptation may be to wish we didn’t feel so guilty in doing something wrong or sinful.

Both Christ and St. Francis show us that they suffered what we suffered, but they suffered in love, and that makes all the difference.

The tension within each of us is not necessarily bad and is not sinful. Like our human emotions, the tension our longing causes is neutral.

Too often, the fast-paced haze of life has us whirling at a speed where we feel like we’re moving so quickly from one thing to the next.

It wasn’t until God’s people utilized the lesson from the desert that they made Jericho’s walls fall to the ground.
