Of all the national holidays, Thanksgiving bears the most resemblance to the Last Supper. A meal is central to the event, everyone knows each other, and there is darkness amid the joy of gathering.
Our faith reminds us that we all make up the body of Christ. Therefore, we are all neighbors, even if that idea makes us uncomfortable.
Friar Peter Tremblay, OFM Conv, knows firsthand how impactful woodworking can be on one’s faith.
It’s probably fair to say that there isn’t nearly enough peace in our world or in our hearts. Building peace is the only answer, and our faith in God gives us the fuel to keep trying.
Virtual spaces aren’t always great environments for people of faith, as negativity, consumerism, and bullying cast a dark shadow there. If we choose to we can still spread the gospel and the light of Christ.
