In today’s Second Reading Saint Paul tells us how he had a “thorn in the flesh,” something—and we don’t know exactly what this was—which reminded Paul constantly of his need for God.

Sometimes we’re fearful of what might happen to us if we allow Jesus to get too close to us. However being made free in Christ is far better than hanging on to our comfortable old demons.

In today’s reflection, Maureen O’Brien asks us to consider this question: How can we bring about peace?
