Whether we’re taking a hike or merely walking down the sidewalk, may we accept the invitation to experience our Creator in the great outdoors.

Let us pray, let us always pray in the serenity of our faith and with tranquility of soul.

By her mid-30s, Sister Teresa of Calcutta (1910-1997) had a track record as a leader, overseeing a community of Indian women religious affiliated with her community and serving as a school principal.

Today, ponder these uplifting lyrics: “O, the deep, deep love of Jesus/Vast unmeasured, boundless, free/Rolling as a mighty ocean/in its fullness over me.”

Do not be in doubt about receiving divine assistance, and do not lean on yourself to deal with these multiple afflictions that constantly surround you.

It is easy some days for our minds to race with thoughts, doubts, ideas, and anxieties and lose touch with our hearts in the process.

“You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you” (Psalm 128:2).

Choosing to reframe or not focus on negative experiences gives them less power. Savoring positive memories magnifies them.

Let your whole life be spent in self-surrender, in prayer, in work, in humility, in giving thanks to our good God.

Today, I will welcome growing things, unexpected events, new people–even when they are uninvited.
