Reflect
Recently, in honor of St. Therese of Lisieux, I bought a dozen pink roses, and as the buds have blossomed, I’ve been captivated by how soft and full they are, awakening several times to finding them wider. I wondered if they make a sound as they open, a song I cannot catch. I was led to 1 Corinthians 2:9, “What eye has not seen, and what ear has not heard, and what has not entered the human heart, what God has prepared for those who love him.”
Pray
Today may we, like roses, open up
to trusting
that so much of God’s magnificence
is unseen, unheard.
So much mystery.
So much love, invisible.
And yet–God’s love is a never-ending rose
with a melody always unfolding,
always near.
Act
Today ask St. Therese to send you a rose of some kind—in a song on the radio, in the graphic on a truck you drive by, in a rose that appears on your social media feed. Welcome its message of love.
