Francis of Assisi once told a cardinal, “The Lord has told me that he wanted to make a new fool of me.” We all want to look good, but Francis is showing us another way.

We live in divided times. In this time of discordant rhetoric, it's crucial that we stand as a model for virtue and civility.

Nature reveals to us the character of God. Yet he chose to come to Earth in the humble form of human flesh. Creation—including human beings—speaks of God’s character. If only we'd listen.

God already knows the desires of our hearts, but he wants us to ask. Our loved ones know that we love them, but it feels good to hear and to say. God enjoys our heart-to-heart conversations with him too.

Depression and anxiety is not a reality one can just pray away. It's important to know that we can always seek medical, therapeutic, and spiritual help. God wants us to know he makes space for our pain.

Think how the light returning in your life each day is a miracle to behold. It might be the physical light of the sun or the light of a friend’s smile.
