Reflect
It’s not easy to navigate life. With so many complex choices and so many challenges, it can feel like we’re driving through fog with dim headlights and no GPS, not even sure where we’re trying to go. When we’re feeling overwhelmed and paralyzed, faith calls us to offer the situation to God’s guiding hand and then simply take the next step we can take. And then the next, and the next—trusting that God knows where we’re going even if we don’t.
Pray
O God,
You made the stars that have guided travelers throughout time.
But often we feel lost, unsure where we are or where we’re going.
Give us the faith we need to trust that we don’t need to see the whole path,
Because you will lead us one small right step at a time.
Act
Is there a decision that paralyzes you or a daunting project that you can’t seem to get started on? Don’t put pressure on yourself to figure everything out. Just try to find one small thing that can move you forward—even in the wrong direction! Small steps can be corrected, but no steps won’t get you anywhere. Trusting God’s guidance is something you can practice, one small step at a time.
