Reflect
In Micah 7:18, we read that God delights in showing mercy. And we know from Genesis that we humans are made in God’s image. Does that mean we, too, should delight in showing mercy?
Pray
Dear God,
I confess that mercy and delight
don’t often go together in my life.
I delight in my grandson’s laugh,
or a good piece of chocolate,
but mercy?
Help me to see people as you do.
Help me to appreciate and relish
every opportunity to show mercy to others,
just as you’ve shown mercy to me.
Act
Consider the people in your life who might be “at your mercy” and give it to them—joyfully.
