Age and cultures define death differently. The French writer Simone de Beauvoir called death “an unjustifiable violation.”

This week, who can you speak out for? How can you use your voice to defend the poor and needy? 

What I love about Pope Francis and this jubilee year that we are in is that it shows, yet again, how vigilant he is about the world’s woes. 

I know that God is with me for the long (or short) haul of my life, all the way through eternity.
