One blessing of Advent season is the cards we receive, reminding us of those we love and care about.

On day six of this Advent season, we take time to celebrate the comfort that we find in Christ’s love.

Today, as we decorate our homes for the season, we give thanks for the comfort and security they provide.

This week, as we celebrate the second Sunday of Advent, we hear of John the Baptist’s travels through the region of Jordan proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

It has been said that change is the only constant in life. After the past two years, oh boy, would I agree with that. And I’m sure many other people would too.

Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for the crowd, because they have been with me now for three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away hungry, for they might faint on the way.”

Today we are inspired by the roots of Jesse and discover how that theme can translate into our Advent traditions.
