We follow a God who is God of the present. God is always with us in the present moment–be that moment joyful or painful, hard or easy.

What does it mean to be truly pro-life?

Over the course of his three-year public ministry, many came to follow Jesus on the way. Andrew, one of the Twelve, whose brother was Simon Peter, was one of the two who heard John the Baptist preaching and came to follow Jesus.

Sometimes a spiritual life can feel stagnant and dry. The ways we are used to connect to God seem to no longer work. Maybe it is not so much that God is far away but we need to instead rediscover God in new ways, experiences, ways of prayer.

The word love is used to describe so many different things that matter—sports teams, people, chocolate, books, etc. Mother Teresa was an evangelist for the proper use of the word love when she said: “Wherever God has put you, that is your vocation. It is not what we do but how much love we put into it.”

Simon is a reminder for us to show up and be with those who need help carrying the load of suffering in their lives.
