Joanne Schatzlein, OSF
Joanne Schatzlein, OSF, is a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, whose Motherhouse is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and entered her Congregation in 1965. She received her BSN in Nursing from Marquette University, and holds a Masters Degree in Franciscan Studies from St. Bonaventure University. In addition to using her nursing skills overseeing the care of her Sisters, she served for 16 years as the director of the Office of Corporate Ministries for her congregation. In spring of 2023 she was elected as the Director of her Congregation and has served in that role since June, 2023. She remains a staff member for Franciscan Pilgrimage Programs based in Franklin, WI, and continues to give presentations and workshops to various Franciscan groups, including the OFM Intercommunity Novitiate program.
