St. Francis of Assisi endured similar challenges we face today: societal instability, apathy, and health issues that threatened his ministry. In times of struggle, let us look to his example.

In his short 15 years, Carlo Acutis lived boldly and loved loudly. Our first Millennial saint can teach us how to follow God with humble steps.

I have always categorized you, Carlo Acutis, as “the millennial saint,” but that is limiting. You are timeless.

Considering Pope Francis’ debilitating health issues, my mind always goes back to when his papacy was announced to the world.

There is no shortage of bad news at our fingertips: televisions, radios, smartphones, and computers are delivery methods that feed our collective anxieties. Let’s turn them off and focus on the Good News instead.

Who hasn’t felt as if they are on the outside looking in? Who among us hasn’t felt dejected or neglected? May this prayer be your reminder today that you are loved no matter how far you’ve strayed.
