Pause
Faith is not a feeling—it’s a steady trust in a God we cannot always see, but who is always faithful. Hebrews defines it as “the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen.” This Sunday’s readings speak to that deep assurance. Like Abraham, we’re asked to trust when the path ahead is unclear. Faith requires risk, vision, and a memory of God’s fidelity. Even when storms come, we are not alone.
Pray
God of the unseen, strengthen my faith when my footing feels shaky. Help me to remember your promises, even when I can’t see how they will unfold. Give me courage to walk with you into the unknown, trusting that you go before me. Remind me that I walk in the footsteps of faith-filled ancestors who clung to you through darkness and doubt.
