All mature spirituality, in one sense or another, is about letting go and unlearning.

Whatever concentrates our attention in a selfless way can be said to be a form of prayer. The fruit of all prayer is a calmer mind and a more open and compassionate heart.

The story of humankind is about sinfulness that grows from generation to generation. And yet God continues to look after his creature.

Those who can be present with head, heart, and body at the same time will always encounter The Presence, whether they call it God or not.

Even in their fallen state men and women are the objects of God’s care. The garment of skins that God makes for them shows his continued concern.

To keep our bodies less defended, to live in our body right now, to be present to others in a cellular way, is also the work of healing of past hurts

The constant angst and heaviness of the pandemic has taken its toll in some way on each of us. May this prayer remind you of your humanity at a time when it is easy to be hard on yourself.
