Like the apostle Thomas, we all have experiences in life that leave us doubting God, God’s promises or God’s goodness. It’s a human situation with which each of us can relate.

The coming of the Lord is not a one-time event. There are interim comings scattered throughout the life of the believer. We have to be ready to welcome Jesus whenever he comes.

None of us can represent Christ by ourselves. We need each other. We depend on one another. Each of us is a gift to our fellow believers.

I have been remiss. I have enjoyed second helpings. I have tossed away remains. I have not remembered those who are hungry as I am filled.

Often we keep our faith hidden away, but simply telling of God’s help brings light to the world. Today, don’t hesitate to share the truth of how your faith has guided you.

The relationship between God and Abraham depended on God’s gift. What God offered to Abraham he also offers to us. It is up to us to accept God’s promises in faith.

“Where are you taking us?” This is a refrain often heard on our family vacations from both the kids in the back of the van and even sometimes me from the front seat.

The forgiveness of sins does not come as a result of our efforts, but as a gift of God. We are blessed whose sins the Lord does not record.

As followers of Christ Jesus, we share in his work of salvation. Thank God for the witness of those who have shared the faith with you.
