candles burning in front of a cross in a parish

Reflect

Today we remember those who have gone before us—especially those who may have no one to pray for them. Death does not end our connection with those we love. The communion of saints means that love never dies. Our prayers matter. They are bridges between heaven and earth, between sorrow and hope.

Pray

Merciful Father, welcome into your light the souls of those who have died.
Comfort the hearts of those who mourn.
Heal the pain of separation with the promise of reunion.
And help me live this day with deep reverence for the gift of life and the hope of eternal joy.

Act

Light a candle today and pray for someone you’ve lost—and someone you never knew. Say their names aloud as an offering of remembrance.
