There is such an abundance of poetic passages to carry in your heart, especially from the Gospel of John: Remain in me, as I remain in you (15:4). Reflect on the gift of the overlap of love, Jesus’ love for you, your love for him.

I pray today to know the miracle
of you, the vine,
becoming me, the branch.
In this remaining
we grow together.
How you abide, how you stay, how you dwell.
Like a heartbeat—
How you abide.

Today try and let go of your worries, knowing that there is no separation at all between you and God–you are fully bound, a vine and its branch.
