Why is it that a perceived failure makes us short and rude with others?
Pray
Gracious God,
You never leave us without your grace.
It is through your presence within us
that we attain the virtues.
Perhaps the greatest virtue of all is humility.
It is through humility that we see the world as you do,
including our efforts and best intentions.
Give us humility to acknowledge
that our efforts will ultimately fall short,
so that we may maintain our interior peace
and kindness towards others.
Without you, we can do nothing.
Act
Even in the face of a failure, try to recognize where God is calling you to maintain your peace and grow in humility.
