As Jesus noted, loving our neighbor is easy when our neighbor is lovable.

Saint Anthony helped to put Francis' vision into motion.

For us, as human beings, death is dark and scary and real. Even though we believe and trust in God, death can cause anxiety and anguish.

Looking back I see how easy it was to blame God when I was the one who had gone away—forsaking the healing sacrament of God’s grace.

How blind are we to many of the situations around us? Are we too caught up in our own little worlds?

Once we acknowledge the reality of our society, we must do what we can to live the ideal we seek to the best of our abilities.
