To those who left all things, Jesus had promised eternal life and a hundredfold besides—now!

What I love about Pope Francis and this jubilee year that we are in is that it shows, yet again, how vigilant he is about the world’s woes. 

I needed to remember who I was in the midst of this loss of control and rejection. I was the beloved.

This year, I am wandering the Mojave in my mind and heart.

The practices of Lent help us to be both realistic and happy. The two go together in a way that consumerism can never fathom.

When our words are kind and gentle, our spirits will be too. We will have fewer regrets and be more charitable and peaceful.
