Minute Meditations

I know many of us feel disjointed right now, unsure of how we will ever feel whole as a nation again or engage in peaceful, fruitful dialogue.

It's often when we feel most abandoned that God is closest to us. We get in the way of that union, but God knows are steps before we make them.

With God’s help through the intercession of the saints, may our world be set free from war, violence, and terrorism.

Do that which brings you most mindfully into God’s presence. Do that which raises your mind and heart to God’s love.

Lady Liberty, inspire us. Mother Mary, deliver us.

This is my prayer for our nation, that each of us goes a little further to the margins, peripheries, and abandoned places in our communities to touch the poor there.
