Downward mobility. It invites each of us to recalibrate our direction from upward mobility, where we’re focused on climbing, doing, achieving, boosting our ego, flexing our importance, accumulating money, power, or fame. It’s about contribution. It’s about seeing the good. It’s about sharing the good to maximize a contribution, really to transform the world. Downward mobility is about getting rid of control. It’s about ascension to higher levels.

The notion of downward mobility, I think, helps to remind us what is really important and discover our true values beneath our dreams and desires and awaken an awareness to our true self in union with Christ in the process.
