Faith and Family

This week, we hear Jesus tell the disciples, “whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me."

In this week's Gospel, Jesus asks the disciples who they think he is and then proceeds to predict his passion for the first time.

All too often, we fail to recognize those in the less-than-visible jobs. But try to imagine your life if there were no people to fill those roles.

In this week's Gospel, we listen to the story of Jesus' healing of the man who was deaf.

I wasn’t alive for 9/11. My mom was three months pregnant with me when the events of 9/11 took place. From my perspective, 9/11 seems like the distant past, much like the other important events that have happened in American history.  

For most of us, there are certain moments in time that remain frozen in our memories forever. We can recount every detail of the event, such as where we were, what was happening, how we felt.
