Perhaps one of the most difficult times we have at Christmas is when we’re facing the loss of someone we have dearly loved.

Being grateful makes us more aware of the people around us, those who have helped us but also those who need our help.

The prophets remind us that we are called to live our lives in such a way that the nations will find their way to God through us.

Jesus told us that we’re the light of the world, and do we ever take him seriously when we’re celebrating his birth!

God’s love and compassion are with us in good times and bad. We might think it’s easier to recognize God’s presence when life is good and happiness fills our spirits.

The more we recognize our abundance, the more we want everyone to have that experience of grace and giftedness.

If you don’t already have a gratitude journal, now might be the time to begin one. It doesn’t need to be fancy. A plain spiral notebook will do, or even a sheet of paper.
