We take much for granted, including our work. Caught up in routine we forget to take satisfaction in what we do, while others struggle to find gainful employment. Let us pray to cherish our hard work.

The optimist believes everything will work itself out. As Christians we are not optimists; we are people of hope.
“Woe to the solitary person! If that one should fall, there is no other to help” (Ecclesiastes 4:10). The elderly and infirm are particularly vulnerable.
