Reflect
Shortly after Jesus’ death and resurrection, the disciples locked themselves up in fear. They had every reason to fear. Yet the Lord came to them saying, “Peace be with you.” Christ offers us a peace that no one can destroy.
Pray
Risen Lord,
by your death
you showed us
there is no place
you will not go,
by your rising
you showed us
there is nothing
you cannot undo.
I bring before you now
my anxiety,
my depression,
my fear.
Eternal Savior,
give me your peace—
now and always.
Amen.
Act
Spend some time today reflecting on the cross. A symbol that once meant shame has been made a sign of Christ’s glory. Christ’s peace transcends even death itself. Take comfort in that truth today and find peace in it.
