Family can take many forms—beyond our blood relatives. Family can also encompass friends, neighbors, and coworkers.

If you have children and aging parents, you understand the daily, intergenerational push and pull of family life. But how often do give yourself a moment to appreciate what you offer?

When we’re sad or lonely, who better to turn to than our universal mother? Mary can feel the ripples of pain in our hearts and is ready to guide us to her son.

When I think of Carlo Acutis, I think about how he, too, was rooted in where he was. He wasn’t particularly well-traveled. But his faith is marveled the world over. I love that about him.

I used to mourn the close of a year—until COVID-19. Now I look forward to the passage of time only because, surely, the next year will be better.
