glassblower at work with glass and fire.

Reflect

Recently, I admired a gifted glassblower at work. Watching the bubble of hot glass transform reminded me of God’s description of himself as the potter and us as his clay (Jeremiah 18:6).

Pray

Dear God, I watch the artist work: blowing, heating, twisting the melted glass into something beautiful. I understand you do that with us, but I don’t like being stretched and twisted. Sometimes I just want to be a hot molten mess. Please help me welcome your work in me, even when it hurts, knowing that you are shaping me into a precious work of art. Amen.

Act

Reflect on the current challenges in your life and consider how God may be using them to mold you into a better person.
