Reflect
Paul exhorts us to pursue righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. Jesus reminds us of the poor man, Lazarus, who sat at the gate of a rich man and was ignored. We are called not only to notice the suffering at our door, but to respond—not out of guilt or fear, but from love. Following Christ means choosing compassion, even when it costs us comfort.
Pray
Lord, open my eyes to the needs I’d rather not see. Soften my heart toward those I overlook. Help me live not for comfort, but for compassion. May I pursue faith and gentleness, and love as you love—with hands that heal and hearts that welcome.
Act
Do one act of quiet generosity today. Let it be an act of love for someone at your doorstep—figuratively or literally.
