Dedication of Saint Mary Major Basilica

Saint Mary Major Basilica is one of the four major churches in Rome known as patriarchal basilicas. It is the largest church in the world honoring Mary. This day is also known as the feast of Our Lady of the Snows because of the Blessed Mother’s intercession during a crisis in that city.

When I think of Carlo Acutis, I think about how he, too, was rooted in where he was. He wasn't particularly well-traveled. But his faith is marveled the world over. I love that about him.
