Sharing the Word for May 30, 2020

Saturday of the Seventh Week of Easter

May 30, 2020
Daily Reading from the USCCB: John 21:20-25

Peter has now been restored to his place among the apostles. Some disciples thought that although Peter would die a martyr’s death, John would live till Jesus came again. When Peter asks Jesus about this, Jesus deflects the question and tells Peter that He [Jesus] would take care of John. Peter doesn’t need to bother.

By way of closure to his Gospel, John explains that there are many more things that could be written about Jesus, but all the books of the world couldn’t contain them.

We each have our calling from Jesus. We each have our own experience of Him to share. No two life stories are the same. No one story can tell it all. What do I have to tell about Jesus?
