We should take confidence in the awareness that God protects us from evil, that we belong to God, and that God has given us the discernment to know Jesus Christ.

Prayerful people walk with God every day. This walking can be done kneeling beside your bed to thank God for a restful sleep or to ask the Lord to guide your day.

The conviction that Jesus–true God and true man–is our savior is based on our faith in what has been revealed to us.

The pope continues to keep the theme of the family in the forefront through his speeches, homilies, addresses, and writings, and he is quick to share anecdotes from his childhood in Argentina to illustrate his points.

Our love for God is generated by God’s prior love for us. This love necessarily involves our love for neighbor.

We don’t know what the new year will hold for us, for our families, for the world. But we know that God will continue to be with us.

Jesus, who cast out demons, remove dark clouds from this dwelling place. Open it to birdsong and flower fragrance.

This week’s Gospel tells of John the Baptist proclaiming Jesus’ coming and then later baptizing Jesus in the Jordan river.

This likeness to God that his love for us and ours for him confers on us gives us confidence in the day of judgment.

We must become the word of love spoken by God in our hearts. We must become the Good News made flesh for our world.
