Reflect
Recently, I heard a young woman politely decline an invitation by saying she was “already spoken for.” It reminded me that we all are already spoken for. God has claimed us as his own, and to prove it to us his word became flesh and came to earth in the form of Jesus Christ.
Pray
Dear God our Creator, I know that “the Word became flesh
and made his dwelling among us.”
I know that Jesus is the embodiment of your word,
and he gave his life for each one of us—for me.
I am yours. By your word, I am spoken for.
Amen.
Act
Remind yourself throughout the day that you are God’s beloved child. You are spoken for. We all are. Meditating on this fact can build solidarity.
