Reflect
The calming effects of water on the human spirit are well known. It’s easy to see why waterfront property is so valuable when we walk beside a lake or stream, admire the prism of a snowflake, or dew in sunlight. Clean water is too precious to take for granted; much of the world thirsts for it, and climate change threatens the water supply for the poorest.
Pray
In the sun’s first rays and in the last twilight,
we see you, radiant God.
Each day we praise your gifts of life.
Act
Continue your prayer with this line from Song of the Sun: “…Praised be you, my Lord, through Sister Water…” Walk beside a river, lake, or stream, asking God for help preserving this precious resource.
