Reflect
All too often, people see crying as a sign of weakness. In her novel Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte provides a different perspective on that thinking. She writes: “Crying does not indicate that you are weak. Since birth, it has always been a sign that you are alive.”
Pray
Lord,
May the water of my tears
Wash away any sorrow in my heart.
Where others may see weakness,
Let me see strength in the courage
To accept and embrace my emotions.
Act
What are your thoughts on expressing your emotions through crying? Do you see it as a sign of strength or weakness? Why do you think you feel that way? Take some time to either think about it or maybe even journal about the question.
