The Beauty of the Incarnation

the beauty of the incarnation; hand putting an ornament on the christmas tree

Reflect

The beauty of the Incarnation is this: the God who created galaxies chose to dwell among us. Emmanuel means “God with us”—not just beside us, but within and around us. In the final stretch of Advent, we don’t just wait for Jesus to come. We prepare our hearts to welcome Him, again and again, into the most ordinary places of our lives.

Pray

Come, Emmanuel. Be born in me again. Enter into my weariness and bring peace. Open my eyes to see you not just in the manger, but in the faces of those I meet, the silence of prayer, and the small graces of the day.

Act

If you have not done so already, put out a small nativity or symbol of Christmas today. Let it be a reminder of the beauty of the Incarnation and that God is not far, but close—and coming.
