Pause
Following Christ isn’t always comfortable—it’s courageous. Jeremiah’s story reminds us that prophets often get pushed into muddy pits over being praised. Jesus tells us that division may even come within our own homes. But Hebrews exhorts us not to grow weary: “Consider him who endured such opposition…so that you may not grow weary and lose heart.” The path of discipleship calls for holy resilience.
Pray
Jesus: When my faith leads to discomfort, give me strength. When I’m misunderstood or mocked, let me stand firm in love. Help me endure with compassion and conviction, knowing I am walking with you. Teach me to hold fast when the road gets hard and to remember that you endured the cross so I would never walk alone. Amen.
Act
Encourage someone today who is doing something brave for their faith. Let them know you appreciate and honor their courage.
