Have Courage

cave with light filtering in

Reflect

The difference between courage and brashness is wisdom.  The fool may go into challenges with gusto but will fail.  Courage does not mean a lack of fear. Courage is moving forward despite fear. Christian courage means trusting that the Lord is with you even in times of trouble.

Pray

God of might,
Be my surety as I face the difficulties that lie ahead.
Steady my hand that I may do the work you have set before me.
Remove the obstacles that keep me from moving forward
And lead the way that I may follow.
Amen

Act

Is there something you have been putting off because it makes you anxious just thinking about it? Ignoring these things doesn’t make them go away. They only get more frightful for us.  Ask God for the grace to take your first step in doing what you know must be done.

  1. Lord Jesus Christ, through the gift of your Holy Spirit, you fill us with an indomitable spirit of praise and joy which no earthly trial can subdue. Fill me with your resurrection joy and help me to live a life of praise and thanksgiving for your glory. May I witness to those around me the joy of the Gospel and the reality of your great victory over sin and death. Amen.

“Have Courage,” for me is to trust the Wisdom God has instilled in me in Baptism to know, God Is With Me Always!
